Comfort is no longer reserved for Sunday sweatpants, it is making waves in the high fashion world. Tri-blends are a thing to be coveted and the athleisure market is making spandex splashes. Fellas, when you slip on something comfortable and stylish, you are dressed to kill. Picking out a well cut tee that boasts quality fabric and design, sets you apart from the masses that buy their shirts in bulk packs at Costco. I’m not saying you have to break the bank, but putting in a little effort will pay off. Women notice this kind of thing!
When we are hugged tight by a handsome fellow, we want to snuggle close to the lust inducing scent of cologne and musk, run a hand down his back, and think “What the heck is this made of? I want to live in it!” The look draws her in, and it’s the feel that makes her stay.
Now let’s be honest, what is the number one thing you want a woman to do on a date? Touch you. Anyway, anyhow, that is usually what you’re looking for, amiright? I mean sure, connection and conversation is important too, but you can have that in your friendships. What crosses the first boundary into intimacy is physical touch. It might start as innocently as her touching your arm as she sidles past you in a bar, or grasping your hand across the table when you tell a really funny or touching story. These are not accidents, believe me, because guess what?
If we like you, we want to touch you!
So, give us a reason to do it aside from your charming personality and your hilarious Christopher Walken impression. Put on something soft that we want to run our hands all over. Something that we would want to hold against us. Something we want to pick up off the floor the next morning and throw on to get coffee from the kitchen.
And when you do find that irresistibly soft t-shirt or sweater, do it justice. Don’t just throw it on with old jeans and a hoodie, dress it up a little. Some dark denim, shoes that aren’t runners or made for a construction site, and maybe even a blazer, or at least a nice peacoat. If you already have a lady, she will want to show you off, and will reward you later for providing her with arm candy other women will envy. If you’re still looking, you’ll be much more likely to turn a few heads channelling Justin Timberlake than Bob the Builder.
Do yourself, and all the women in your future a favour, and up your fabric game. I promise you will enjoy the return on your investment, because when we feel something we like, we want to touch it again, and again, and again.
