The Importance of Touch

Emily doesn’t think the things that define us are listed in a job description. She finds that they are reflected in the way we speak, what we value, and the people we keep. She believes in honest communication, integrity in her commitments, and respecting all beings equally.

She and her main man Nick run a marine & small equipment sales and servicing shop on Salt Spring Island, their hometown (Check out www.midislemarine.com). They also have a summer business renting out scooters and peddling locally made goods (http://www.midislemarine.com/new-rentals.html) . In her spare time, she works with entrepreneurs to help them with whatever she can, from implementing new systems, to blogging and copy writing.

Her Island roots drive her to the outdoors, to mountain peaks, and garden beds. She is passionate about heart pumping music, nourishing food, and the written word. She strives to live every day by the words “Decide that you want it more than you are afraid of it.”
